How is Jamie Lynn Spears connected to Britney’s conservatorship?
--
After much hype, Britney Spears finally appeared in court to speak to a judge about her conservatorship.
Britney has been under her the control of her father Jamie Spears since 2008 but this leads fans to questions her relationship with her other family members- most notably with her sister and fellow teen star Jamie Lynn Spears.
What did Jamie Lynn Spears say about Britney’s comments about her family?
Jamie Lynn disabled comments on her Instagram post on the day that Britney spoke in court.
In February, after the release of the shocking documentary “Framing Britney Spears” which reignited a wave of #FreeBritney, Jamie Lynn responded to the media telling them to “do better.”
Britney’s younger sister wrote on Instagram: “Dear media, try not to repeat the mistakes of your past. Look where that got us. Do better.”
“Everyone you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about. Be kind. Always.”
The 30-year-old finally made an emotional statement in support of her sister after Britney spoke in front of a judge.
“Hey everybody, I just want to take a second to address a few things,” she said, in the first of a series of Stories published to her official Instagram account.
“The only reason I haven’t before is because I felt like until my sister was able to speak for herself and say what she felt she needed to say publicly, that it wasn’t my place and it wasn’t the right thing to do. But now that she’s very clearly spoken and said what she needed to say, I feel like I can follow her lead and say what I feel I need to say.”
Jamie Lynn claims that “it’s extremely clear” that she has “only loved, adored and supported” her sister, since the day she was born.
“I’m so proud of her for using her voice. I am so proud of her for requesting new counsel, like I told her to do many years ago….not on a big public platform, but just in a personal conversation between two sisters.”
“My sister knows I love and support her, and that’s the only person I owe anything to.”
